The emotional scars of a cancer diagnosis last much longer than the physical ones. When your health is compromised, it is impossible to not reflect on how you have lived your life to this point and everything you would do differently moving forward.  Not only is a cancer diagnosis physically and emotionally taxing, it is also an extreme financial burden.  We never want someone to not be able to live their life post-cancer due to financial constraints.

Our focus is to inspire individuals recently in remission from cancer to live their lives moving forward with passion and purpose!

Being placed in remission, and staying there, is the ultimate goal for anyone dealing with cancer.  Maintaining a healthy, stress free lifestyle is key to avoiding relapse.  It is my goal to give back to others who may not have the support I did to make this possible.  A Second Go was established to raise money/services to provide people with the tools to have a successful ‘second go’ at life including, but not limited to: yoga, therapy, nutrition support, spa services, home cleaning services, etc.

Anything we can do to make the stressful transition easier.

We do this by fulfilling the wishes of cancer survivors.  Once a survivor is nominated, a survey is completed where we learn about their diagnosis, treatments and restrictions.  Then they tell us what their wants and needs and big dreams are!! We want to encourage an active, healthy lifestyle as the body needs to recover from invasive treatments.  To date we have provided individuals with spa days, yoga and pilates memberships, grocery gift cards, restaurant gift cards, paddle boarding and kayaking certificates.

All events for A Second Go will donate a portion of the proceeds to a current cancer fighter.  All other fundraising will go directly to cancer survivors and their new journey.

We’ve been able to help two more A Second Go survivors and are happy to announce that we’re looking to expand our network of recipients! Know someone recently in remission who could use something to look forward to? Please nominate them!
